Profile

COMDDAP is a non-profit, non-stock trade organization of the country’s top Information Technology organizations whose main thrust is to promote the sustainable development of the country’s information technology industry through voluntary collaboration of its member companies.

It encourages the development and sharing of best practices among its member companies.

In existence for the past twenty-four (24) years, the Association has been maintained and financed by its member companies through dues, fees, contributions or donations that fund the many CSR projects of the association.

Corporate Social Responsibilities

COMDDAP has initiated projects that benefited various sectors of the society, without limiting itself to ICT‐related projects.

Funded by the annual exhibit proceeds, the CSR projects included:

Adopt‐a‐School Program – month‐long hands‐on training with accredited lecturer for public school students, incorporated in their respective class schedules, and endorsed by their respective Department of Education (DepEd) Superintendents.

Training the Trainors – month‐long hands‐on training with accredited lecturer for public school teachers to better equip them in fulfilling DepEd’s requirements of submitting computerized reports.

School‐2‐Work Program – geared towards providing a benefit for the member companies’ lower rank and file employees. Over fifty (50) high school graduates benefited through I.C.T.‐related vocational courses.

Habitat for Humanity – close to Php1M donation that built houses for a typhoon‐devastated community in Naga City.

Gearing Up Internet Literacy & Access for Students (GILAS) – collaborative project that involved the member companies’ capabilities to service and render technical support to the computer equipment that GILAS have donated to various areas in the Philippines.

Assistance in Setting Up Computer Laboratories – aided the ERDA Foundation Technical School (Pandacan, Manila) and the San Juan Nepomuceno School (Malibay, Pasay City) in setting up their respective computer laboratories, equipment and technical services provided for, by generous COMDDAP member‐companies.

Both organizations are funded and supported by the Jesuits (ERDA Tech) and the Religious Order of the Assumption (San Juan Nepomuceno), whose students belong to the families of blue‐collared workers.
